I've Got You Too

I've Got You Too is one of a series oil paintings featuring the relationship between feather and stone - hence the title of the series - The Featherstone Series

Some years ago, I discovered a deserted beach populated by these gorgeously banded pebbles. I couldn't resist bringing some home to feature in a painting or two*.

 The feather was picked up on a walk around National Trust property, Stowe Park & Gardens in Buckinghamshire. I believe it belonged to a Canada Goose.

This composition shows a single pebble suppressing the feather.

There's another version with the positions reversed - I've Got You.

_{*Hopefully my relocation of a handful of pebbles by a few hundred miles won't get me in too much trouble with any enthusiastic environmentalists.}

_{Please forgive me.}
