An unframed still life study of three disparate objects - a perfume bottle bought as a memento from Stanley Market, Hong Kong, a blanc de chine porcelain boy with toothache - one of the Four Aches by Bing and Grondahl, and a leaf from a fallen red oak (Quercus Rubra) tree from one of our favourite country parks, Calke Abbey in Derbyshire.
First exhibited in my 2023 solo show on the Ground Floor at the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists Gallery in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter.
