Whilst not immediately clear from the title, there is actually a second portrait which doesn't include a carved wooden duck.
Claudia Everson is the daughter of a fellow RBSA member. I encountered her on a sketching session with the Birmingham Royal Ballet in early 2024. Claudia has striking features and has inherited her father's icy blue eyes - a combination I felt compelled to celebrate in a painting.
The painting was worked on between July and October 2024.
Claudia is currently studying for her degree in illustration.
Framed in Lion's Ashton moulding.
